Your responsibilities as
Finance Partner Business Control DK & Claims DK

As Codans new Finance Partner Business you will be a member of Claims DK Management Team and the key financial supportive of our DK Management Team. You will act as a challenger and collaborator, enabling informed decision-making and effective actions with respect to financial and business performance.

Also with great confidence and your solid business understanding, you will on a continuing basis be responsible for the deliveries of financial data analysis and proactively give inputs on the trends and the direction of the business to ensure performance targets /KPIs are in line with business units overall strategy.    

Key responsibilities also include:

  • You will prepare, and review reports directed towards Claims DK management team and DK Management Team (spearhead a consolidated expense view with projections)
  • You will perform Claims trend analysis based on various data sources as input for monthly/quarterly reporting as well as supporting business with analysis in forecast and operational plan periods
  • Manage interface between the Finance department and assigned divisions to ensure mutual understanding and effective communication
  • You will perform proactive forecast and follow up on costs and claims development showing the trends and direction of the business, and ensure performance targets / KPIs are in line with the business units overall strategy
  • You will help coordinate the operational/business planning and forecasting process in Denmark regarding expenses and Claims DK
  • Manage interface between the Finance department and assigned divisions to ensure mutual understanding and effective communication
  • Ad hoc analysis and reporting to support decision making.


You have profound financial analytical skills and knows how to manage your stakeholders

Your analytical approach will enable you to see opportunities in both reports and systems processes and you will be able to help ensure a valid, consistent structure throughout the group's financial reporting and controlling. As a person you are analytical and able to work independently - you therefore find it easy to analyse and conclude on the basis of a limited amount of or complex data within tight deadlines.

You thrive with tasks which contain a mixture of commercial and development elements. Furthermore, you have a high drive to actively support the company's growth and change. You like planning and structure, but also have the ability to improvise and quickly find solutions when necessary, as well as capable of working with the many different stakeholders, that you will be in contact with.

The ideal candidate will have relevant academic and / or professional qualifications in finance or accounting, with at least 5-7 years experience in finance and / or business analysis.

The ideal candidate:

  • Have people leading skills and experience from working in a matrix organisation
  • Strong communicator with the ability to influence and engage others effectively at all levels
  • Experienced professional and a proven track record from a similar job
  • Excellent analytical skills and understanding of business planning
  • Educated to degree level within finance or business, ideally with experience from a job within finance as a Finance Business Partner
  • Speak/understand Scandinavian (DK, SE, NO) and speak/write in English
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint) and knowledge of dashboard reporting 

As a Finance Partner your communication skills are of great importance and it is important that you can influence and engage others effectively at all levels. You must be both analytical and strategic in your thinking, with a good commercial sense and a structured approach to the task in front of you.

The position is organisationally located in Copenhagen in Finance and Business Partnering for Denmark.
